Brief Description:
A telescopic belt conveyor is a recommended solution for loading and unloading of parcels where the transport of products is arranged on a rubber belt. The conveyors can be extended two or three times.A telescopic conveyor is an effective solution in package handling applications. After extension, it minimises the need of manual handling of products by operators. When needed, the dropping or reception spot can be shifted directly to the operator's side by meand of simple joystick movement.
Working Principle:
The belt conveyor is mainly composed of rollers at both ends and a closed conveyor belt on which it is tightly sleeved. The roller that drives the belt is called a drive roller (active roller): another roller that only changes the direction of movement of the conveyor belt is called a reversing roller (passive roller). The drive roller is driven by a motor (motor) through a reducer, and the conveyor belt is dragged by the friction between the drive roller and the conveyor belt. The drive roller is generally installed at the discharge end to increase traction and facilitate dragging. The material is fed by the feeding end, falls on the rotating conveyor belt, and is transported to the discharge end by the relative movement of the conveyor belt.
Applications:
Telescopic conveyors are mainly used for flexible unloading and loading of trucks and trailers to 13 m in length. The telescopic conveyors handle carton boxes, cases, containers and small pallets (up to 50 kg).
